As the New Year comes closer, smartphone manufacturers are gearing up to announce their best upcoming phones. However, it seems that the folks at Verizon couldn’t contain their enthusiasm, so they intentionally leaked some information on of their upcoming and most-anticipated flagship phone – the Motorola Droid Turbo 2

Just yesterday, the company had intentionally sent out a video tweet, showing the phone dropping hard on the pavement, the text on the video says “the perfect phone for imperfect people.” It seems as Verizon is trying to convey the message that the phone is designed to be rugged to some extent. Later, some leaked ads from Verizon revealed that phone will have a shatterproof screen. Not only that, the Turbo 2 will have some customization features with Motorola’s Moto Maker tool. Users can customize this phone with material such as ballistic nylon or leather.

Motorola will officially announce their upcoming devices later in the fall, following announcements from Apple, Google, LG, and HTC. Thus, it’s no surprise that Motorola is planning to create its own hype with the Droid Turbo 2. Verizon will be offering their customers to trade-in their smartphones for a $300 credit towards a purchase of Turbo 2.

Although, the Turbo 2 isn’t the only phone that Verizon and Motorola plan to promote, it’s rumored that the Droid Maxx 2 will be announced soon.  The Maxx has been rumored to be a clone of Moto X Play.
