Xiaomi’s new budget friendly phone has that expansive looking metal body, but, they have not compromised on the phone’s other specifications to cut the cost. The new Xiaomi Redmi 3 comes up with a huge battery of 4,100 mAh, which is expected to give a talk time of more than 80 percent as compared the previous family member of the Redmi family. Similar to all Xiaomi’s phone, the Redmi 3 is also a dual SIM smartphone. This phone is 4G enabled; however, if you are a USA resident, you will only get 3G connectivity at most.

The phone is just available in China at the moment at a bargain price of 699 yuan, which are almost equal to $105.  Currently, the new Redmi 3 is only available in China; however, I expect it to be soon available in different parts of Asia and in emerging markets such as Brazil and others, where the China manufacturing company has presence. If you are excited about this new low-priced phone, then you will have to wait for the time Xiaomi launches it formally for their English speaking audience. It will make sure that the phone you get will have Google services like Google Maps, Gmail and others. The most of the Android phones available in China do not have these kinds of Google applications.

Xiaomi has a reputation of making low-priced high-quality phones. Redmi 3 is a prime example of Xiaomi’s legacy. The phone has a metal body, unlike its preceding phone that had a cheap looking plastic body. Apart from that, the new Redmi has fast charging; keeping the size of the battery, fast charging was a must. The internal memory of the phone is only 16 GB, however, the slot given for SIM can be used for an SD card and it can be increased up to 128 GB, which is surely enough space to have all your data on it.

The new Xiaomi phone has inspiring features with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor and a 13 megapixel rear camera. Other than that, the phone has a 5-inch screen with HD 1,280×720-pixel resolution. A 2GB RAM helps it to operate faster and smoother. Selfie obsessed people will surely love its 5 MP front camera, which indeed produce impressive results. This masterpiece is surely a phone to forward to.
