Q1. How to transfer files in Folder Lock for iPhone via PC if Wi-Fi setting is all set?

In order to transfer files from your Wi-Fi connected MAC to Folder Lock for iPhone, first you must log in the application by entering correct password. When you log in the application, a hint window with IP and port will appear. Enter this IP and port into your web browser and press 'Enter'. Enter the password for Folder Lock to login the Web Server Interface of the application, and start transferring your data.

Q2. How to transfer files in Folder Lock for iPhone via MAC if Wi-Fi setting is all set?

In order to transfer files from your Wi-Fi connected MAC to Folder Lock for iPhone, first you must log in the application by entering correct password. Q3. How to connect my PC with Folder Lock for iPhone via Wireless Router?

Activate Wi-Fi on your PC by turning Wi-Fi router ON and make a connection to your Wi-Fi router. Make sure that you set it with correct network name assigned by your Wi-Fi router. After activating Wi-Fi on your PC, switch to iPhone and tap 'Settings' icon to check Wi-Fi connectivity. If your Wi-Fi in your iPhone is 'OFF' then tap the Wi-Fi toggle to turn Wi-Fi ON. Also make sure to set Airplane Mode 'OFF'. Once your Wi-Fi is 'ON', you will be able to see the network that you created on your computer. Tap this network name to connect with your Wi-Fi router. Note: It may ask for a password if you have set one on your router.

Q4. How to connect my MAC with Folder Lock for iPhone via Wireless Router?

Activate Wi-Fi on your MAC by turning Wi-Fi router ON and make a connection to your Wi-Fi router. Make sure that you set it with correct network name assigned by your Wi-Fi router. After activating Wi-Fi on your MAC, switch to iPhone and tap 'Settings' icon to check Wi-Fi connectivity. If your Wi-Fi in your iPhone is 'OFF' then tap the Wi-Fi toggle to turn Wi-Fi ON. Q5. How to connect my PC with Folder Lock for iPhone via Ad hoc?

On your Windows XP and earlier: 1. Go to Control Panel > Network Connections. 2. Right Click on 'Wireless Network Connection' and choose Properties. 3. Click the 'Wireless Networks' tab on this Properties page. 4. Click 'Add' button in 'Preferred Networks' section. 5. Type iPhone as SSID in the 'Network name (SSID)' (you can choose any other name) and select 'Open' for 'Network Authentication' and select 'Disabled' for 'Data encryption'. 6. Below you can see a checkbox, 'This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network...' Check this option and click OK. 7. Assign an IP address to your wireless network adapter for example 10.0.0.1. This you can do by going to 'Wireless Network Connections' > Right Click to go to Properties > Double Click 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' > Then select 'Use the following IP Address' > Enter the IP for example, 10.0.0.1 then click tab to automatically set a Subnet mask. Once done, click the OK button. 8. Once you've finished the above procedure, continue to connect to your iPhone. (Skip steps for Windows Vista and Windows 7). On your Windows Vista and Windows 7: 1. Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center. 2. Click the 'Manage Wireless Networks' link on the left pane. 3. Now click 'Add' button and select 'Create a Ad hoc Network' and then click 'Next'. 4. Type iPhone in the 'Network name' (you can choose any other name) and select 'No authentication (Open)' for 'Security Type' and check the 'Save this network' checkbox and click 'Next'. 5. Assign an IP address to your wireless network adapter for example 10.0.0.1. This you can do by going to 'Network and Sharing Center' > click 'Change Adapter Settings' on the left side on the pane > Right Click 'Wireless Network Connections' > click 'Properties' > Double Click 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Version 4' > Then select 'Use the following IP Address' > Enter the IP for example, 10.0.0.1 then click tab to automatically set a Subnet mask. Once done, click the OK button. 6. Once you've finished the above procedure, continue to connect to your iPhone. (Skip steps for Windows XP and earlier). On your iPhone: 1. Tap the Settings icon in your iPhone. 2. Check to ensure that you have Wi-Fi connectivity showing a connection name in the Wi-Fi section. (This connection name must also be the same as in your PC Wireless Connection). Ignore all the steps below if your connection is successful and start using Folder Lock for iPhone. 3. If however your Wi-Fi on your iPhone is 'OFF' or showing another Wi-Fi connection name, tap the Wi-Fi toggle to turn Wi-Fi on or select the correct connection name, whichever is relevant. Also make sure to set Airplane Mode 'OFF'. 4. Once your Wi-Fi is 'ON', you will be able to see the network that you created on your computer. Tap this network name to connect with your PC. If you don't find this network, tap 'other', type the name of network that you have created on your PC and select 'Join'. 5. Assign an IP address of the same class to your Wi-Fi for example 10.0.0.2. Please note that in order to transfer data from your PC to iPhone you must assign an IP address that is unique and belong to the same class.

Q6. How to connect my MAC with Folder Lock for iPhone via Ad hoc?

On your MAC: 1. In the Menu bar, select Create Network from the AirPort status icon. Note: If you are not able to find the icon on the menu bar, choose Apple > System Preferences, and then click 'Network'. Now click 'AirPort' and select the 'Show Airport status in menu bar' checkbox. 2. Name this connection. 3. Select a channel from the pop-up menu. By default, channel 11 is selected but you can choose channel 1 or channel 2. 4. Select 'No Security' checkbox. 5. Click Continue. On your iPhone: 1. Tap the Settings icon in your iPhone. 2. Check to ensure that you have Wi-Fi connectivity showing a connection name in the Wi-Fi section. (This connection name must also be the same as in your PC Wireless Connection). Ignore all the steps below if your connection is successful and start using Folder Lock for iPhone. 3. If however your Wi-Fi on your iPhone is 'OFF' or showing another Wi-Fi connection name, tap the Wi-Fi toggle to turn Wi-Fi on or select the correct connection name, whichever is relevant. Also make sure to set Airplane Mode 'OFF'. 4. Once your Wi-Fi is 'ON', you will be able to see the network that you created on your computer. Tap this network name to connect with your PC. If you don't find this network, tap 'other', type the name of network that you have created on your PC and select 'Join'. 5. Assign an IP address of the same class to your Wi-Fi for example 10.0.0.2. Kindly note that in order to transfer data from your MAC to iPhone, you must assign an IP address that is unique and belongs to the same class.

Q7. How to connect my PC if my Wireless Router doesn't have DHCP enabled?

1. Tap the Settings icon in your iPhone. 2. Check to ensure that you have Wi-Fi connectivity showing a connection name in the Wi-Fi section. (This connection name must also be the same assigned by Wi-Fi router). Ignore all the steps below if your connection is successful and start using Folder Lock for iPhone. 3. If however your Wi-Fi on your iPhone is 'OFF' or showing another Wi-Fi connection name, tap the Wi-Fi toggle to turn Wi-Fi on or select the correct connection name, whichever is relevant. Also make sure to set Airplane Mode 'OFF'. 4. Once your Wi-Fi is 'ON', you will be able to see the network name of your Wi-Fi Router. Tap this network name and click the arrow button next to your selected network name. By doing this you will automatically be transferred to 'IP Address' page. 5. Here click the 'Static' tab and assign an IP address of the same class as your computer which is connected to your Wi-Fi router (to connect to your computer, checkout the steps as given above). For example if your computer has an IP address of 10.0.0.1 then assign your iPhone an IP address 10.0.0.2. If you are not sure what your computer IP address is, please check the TCP/IP properties of your Wireless Network Adapter in the Network Connections. (Please note that these IP addresses shown here are just for the example, your computer or wireless router may have a different IP class).

Q8. How to connect my MAC if my Wireless Router doesn't have DHCP enabled?

1. Tap the Settings icon in your iPhone. 2. Check to ensure that you have Wi-Fi connectivity showing a connection name in the Wi-Fi section. (This connection name must also be the same assigned by Wi-Fi router). Ignore all the steps below if your connection is successful and start using Folder Lock for iPhone. 3. If however your Wi-Fi on your iPhone is 'OFF' or showing another Wi-Fi connection name, tap the Wi-Fi toggle to turn Wi-Fi on or select the correct connection name, whichever is relevant. Also make sure to set Airplane Mode 'OFF'. 4. Once your Wi-Fi is 'ON', you will be able to see the network name of your Wi-Fi Router. Tap this network name and click the arrow button next to your selected network name. By doing this you will automatically be transferred to 'IP Address' page. 5. Here click the 'Static' tab and assign an IP address of the same class as your MAC which is connected to your Wi-Fi router (to connect to your MAC, checkout the steps as given above). For example if your MAC has an IP address of 10.0.0.1 then assign your iPhone an IP address 10.0.0.2. If you are not sure what your MAC IP address is, please check the IP address on your MAC.
