This is another unique and exciting feature of Folder Lock which facilitates its users to password protect folders and files in USB drive or any other external drive without the need to install Folder Lock on any other location.
To password protect USB drive, follow these five simple and easy steps:
- • Plug in your USB drive to your computer.

- • Set a password to create a new locker.
- • Now add the files and folders to this locker and click “Encrypt Now”.
- • Click ‘Close to Protect’ and then sit back and relax, your data is protected by Folder Lock in your removable media.
When you create a new locker directly on your USB Drive, Folder Lock will prompt you with a Portable Security option. If you choose 'Yes', Folder Lock will create an AutoPlay password protection for this drive.
Whenever you plug-in your USB drive to any computer, an executable FL USB.exe will run automatically, asking you the locker path and the correct password to open that locker.

You can also move your existing locker to your USB Drive and make it portable very easily.
- • To transfer your existing locker to your USB Drive, login to that locker by entering correct password.
- • Click ‘Portability’ on the left pane
- • From Portability Options, you can choose either ‘Move to USB Drive or ‘Copy to USB Drive’.
- • If you choose ‘Move to USB Drive’, your locker will be transferred to your USB, and if you choose ‘Copy to USB Drive’ a copy of that locker will be created in your USB Drive
- • Now select the USB drive path from drive selection window to move your Locker to the USB drive.

With your password protected portable locker, feel free to access your data on any computer even where Folder Lock is not installed. You can also run the FL USB.exe directly to access the locker if you have ‘Auto Play Feature’ disabled. Folder Lock assures you the security of your personal and private data on your USB drive.
In the trial version of Folder Lock this feature is disabled. Those users who are using trial version of Folder Lock will have to install Folder Lock again on other computers to open their lockers.
On a computer where Folder Lock is already installed, you can simply plug in the USB Drive and double-click the Locker or browse the Locker Path and then enter your password to get full access to your files and folders protected inside the Locker.
