25. How to password protect images?

No matter in what format you save those images, Folder Lock lets you hide images in jpeg, bmp, gif, png or any other available format.

 

Folder Lock is fast and reliable data locking software that instantly locks and hides images. Its strong password locking protection hide pictures in a way that no one can ever view those images, even if he uses Windows Search feature or tries any other sophisticated software to search images in any available format, he would end up with no result.

 

Folder Lock offers two different methods for password protecting images:

 

  • 1. Lock
  • 2. Encrypt

 

To password protect images using locking mechanism of Folder Lock, follow these simple steps:

 

  • • Enter correct password to open your locker, or set and confirm a password to create a new locker

  • • Select ‘Lock’ tab to protect your data using locking method.

  • • To add pictures and images to your locker, click ‘Add Folder and Drives’, a screen shows all of your files and folders. You can either ‘drag and drop items’ to your locker or use ‘Add’ button to add files to your locker.

  • • Once you have done with the selection, click ‘Lock Now’ 
  •  
  • • To finish, click ‘Close to Protect’ and all your images will be password protected.

Alternatively, you can also choose encryption method. Encryption feature of Folder Lock is suitable for those who wish to transfer data from one computer to another using email, USB/External drives or people who require maintaining secure backups of their work on hard drives or CD/DVD-RW.

 

Follow these steps to encrypt and hide images within seconds:

 

  • • Enter password either to create a new locker or to open an existing locker.
  •  
  • • By clicking OK, Encrypt Screen will appear.

  • • Now to add your images and pictures you wish to encrypt, click ‘Add Files and Folders’, here you can either drag and drop images in the right pane or can use ‘Add' button to add your images.
  •  
  • • Folder Lock offers three different methods to transfer your images into your locker.
  •  
  • 1. Move Data
  • 2. Leave a Copy
  • 3. Move after Shredding
  •  
  • • To choose a method, go to Options > General Settings > Transfer Method option. Use ‘Move Data’ if you wish to transfer your files and folders to the Locker otherwise use ‘Leave a Copy’ if you wish to keep a copy at the original location. Furthermore, you can set the option shred (to always secure delete) files. This can be done by choosing ‘Move after Shredding’ from the General Settings.

  • • When you are done adding images and pictures in the Locker, click ‘Encrypt Now’, this will create an encrypted Locker and move / copy your selected images in it.
  •  
  • • Click ‘Close to Protect’ and all your data will be encrypted with strong 256-bit AES Encryption.
