To hide folders and files on your computer, simply click here to download Folder Lock and then install Folder Lock in any drive you want your files and folders protected in, or let the path be a default one in the 'Program Files' folder.

Once you are done with the installation, run the program. For the first time, the program will ask you to set a password. Now enter a password that is easy for your to remember but hard for others to guess. We recommend you to have atleast a 6 digit length password, with both numbers and alphabets in it.

You will require to enter the same password again in the confirmation password screen. Once your password is confirmed, you are taken to Folder Lock's main functions area. From here, Folder Lock gives you a preference of any of the two options for your to hide your folders and files.

1. To hide folders or drives anywhere on your computer by clicking the 'browse' link.

2. Or to keep your private files and folders in the 'Locker' folder and click 'Lock' button. This will hide and safe lock your secret documents and files in seconds.

First method is useful for those who require on-the-fly protection of their folders and drives anywhere on their computer. However, the second method is useful if you want to keep all your private stuff in a single place and don't want any hassle of going to each and every hidden folder on your PC to unlock it. By putting all your folders in the 'Locker' all you need to do is enter the correct password and all your private files popup in front of you.
